I gave one star just to be able to write a review! On 6/19/17 around 1:30-2PM I called the hospital to make an appointment for a mammogram! the lady( even tho she doesn't deserve to be called lady) who answered the phone was the most rude person I have ever came across to in my life, she was yelling at me in the phone for telling her it was an annual mammogram test instead of saying diagnostic due to my young age! She yelled at me saying "YOU NEED TO READ WHAT's ON THE SCRIPT OR CALL YOUR DR TO CONFIRM..." and she hang up the phone! If it wasn't for the fact that my insurance only works there and close to where I live... I would never ever again in my life go there. You need to work on your staff's altitude and how they treat patients, since the people they are contacting are patients who already have a lot to deal with in their life...period
I had an interventional radiology procedure done as an outpatient. Very happy with the entire visit and outcome. Subsequently had inpatient surgery with a two day hospital stay. Nursing and staff very attentive, answered call lights quickly, pain controlled well. Housekeeping came in each day - room was clean. Was quiet at night. Would have surgery there again, but hope I don't need to!
Amazing birthing center! The nurses were so caring and compassionate. Special thanks to nurse Andrea, she was there when I delivered, and she's definitely a pro! The doctors are great as well.They all made me feel so comfortable while delivering my first child. The rooms are also nice clean, and private. The food was good too! I will definitely be back when it's time for my 2nd baby.
Most of the staff were great, but there were a few stinkers with bad attitudes, and that's all it takes to taint the whole experience.
This hospital is hostile towards visitors. My son was in ICU and they make me sit in a hard straight back chair for 24 hours. No easy chairs, no sleeping chairs, no food in the nurses room. When I asked for a cup of coffee, after spending the night in that awful chair, the nurse directed me to a vending machine. Are You Kidding Me?
We have gone to DMC Huron Valley for two medical emergencies this summer. We were seen within 20 minutes both times. My husband was diagnosed and given medicine to help with each incident, and his symptoms were gone in a couple of days. The facility was clean, the staff was well trained and very helpful.
