Unfortunately my father is loyal to a fault, and says things like, "I'm not dead yet so they must be doing something right" when the topic of switching doctors comes up. It's true that someone is doing something right ... I, however, am not convinced that it's this doctor or his associates.
I have been seeing Dr. Li for many years. I have switched doctors a few times due to moves, but I now go back to him. In my experience he has been very honest and straightforward. He also offered a lot of help and advice when I was preparing to move out of the country. He is also very personable (although he may not seem like it at first) and I feel very comfortable discussing personal concerns with him. I have also seen Dr. Markowitz on occasion. Both doctors seemed very concerned with the health of their patients and are willing to actually call you back--which has not always been the case everywhere I have gone. The office staff, on the other hand, is hit or miss. I used to have many issues with the personalities and helpfulness but lately it seems like the staff has gotten better. I still drive well out of my way to see Dr. Li instead of one of the multitudes of doctors in my area.
Dr. Markowitz has always treated me and my wife with honesty and caring. I have been going to see him for over 30 years, He also has a great staff. I always feel better ater a visit to see Doctor Norman Markowitz
To clarify, my father is the client, not me. I'm just the one who has to deal with the fallout from their incompetence.
Yes, I try to work directly with them when issues arise. It usually works out eventually, but only after way too much time and energy have been wasted, all of which I'd rather use to support my family.
Horrible staff and service as they do not care about the patient.
The doctor himself might be fine, but those he chooses to associate with need a lot of work, especially Dr. Lee as another reviewer stated, and most recently the in-home care vendor.
